Lucid
by Adrienne Stoltz and Ron Bass
Publisher: Penguin
Publication date: October 2, 2012
Genre: YA Paranormal
Purchase:Barnes and Noble/Amazon/Book Depository

Sloane and Maggie have never met. Sloane is a straight-A student with a big and loving family. Maggie lives a glamorously independent life as an up-and-coming actress in New York. The two girls couldn't be more different— except for one thing. They share a secret that they can't tell a soul. At night, they dream that they're each other.
The deeper they're pulled into the promise of their own lives, the more their worlds begin to blur dangerously together. They realize that eventually they will have to choose one life to wake up to, or risk spiraling into insanity. But that means giving up one world, one love, and one self, forever. This is a dazzling debut that will steal readers' hearts.(synopsis from publisher)

Imagine being someone else in your dreams every night. What if the life in your dreams was more fulfilling then your actual life? Would you consider trading one for the other? The whole concept of this paranormal YA has me intrigued. This is a collaboration of two success writers and their debut as a team. I am looking forward to this read.

  10. What an awesome idea for a story! It has the mystery built in. I always wonder how writers collaborate ~ I would think it's such a personal thing you couldn't share, an art in itself.

  16. Huh...the ironic part of this is that I've watched a short film with almost this same concept except one was awake somewhere else in the world while the other one slept thereby making their opposite lives a dream to them...okay, that sounded confusing but perhaps you caught the point. ^_^ Nice find, thanks for sharing!
